Smart Wind Turbine Rotor Design and Health Monitoring.

This special session invites original research contributions related to smart wind turbine rotor design and health monitoring. The session covers a wide range of topics related to smart wind turbine rotors, including modeling, design, and testing of smart actuators, aerodynamic and aeroelastic modeling of active aerodynamic control devices, aeroelastic simulations of wind turbines with active aerodynamic control, controller design for smart rotor applications, vibration SHM, guided wave SHM, sensor/actuator networks, wireless communication, data-driven algorithms, smart structures, machine learning and deep learning applications, multivariate analysis, IoT development and applications, environmental and operational compensation techniques, and more. Papers that address any of these topics, or related topics, are welcome. The goal of this session is to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners to discuss the latest advancements in smart wind turbine rotor design and health monitoring, and to promote the development of sustainable and efficient wind energy systems.
